The artist
Doris Waelchli Giraud paints in acrylic, in thick layers that she builds up and scrapes back, letting the colour find its own way. Her paintings draw on her travels, on the warm countries she has passed through and on Swiss nature. As she simply puts it: she paints the way she cooks.
